Evolution Exterior Oil – Western Red Cedar
Evolution Exterior Oil – Western Red Cedar is a deeply penetrating, non-film-forming finish designed to protect exterior timber from weather, moisture and UV exposure while enhancing the natural character of the wood. Made in Germany for Whittle Waxes, it provides long-lasting, water- and weather-resistant protection and helps reduce swelling, cracking and weathering.
Formulated with refined natural oils and natural waxes, Evolution Exterior Oil penetrates into the timber rather than creating a surface film. It is suitable for a wide range of exterior timber applications including decks, outdoor furniture, screens, cladding, doors, windows and other exposed timber surfaces.
Timber Protection: Helps protect exterior timber against moisture, weather and UV exposure while reducing swelling, cracking and weathering.
Coverage: Approximately 15 m² per litre per coat, depending on the timber species and whether the surface is planed or rough-sawn. Rough or corrugated timber will require more product.
Application: Apply thinly and evenly by brush, microfibre roller or spray. We recommend 2–3 applications for the initial treatment. The surface can be recoated once it is dry to the touch and no longer sticky.
Decks & high-traffic areas: After applying two coats of your chosen colour, we recommend a final coat of Evolution Exterior Oil Clear to prolong abrasion resistance. For seasonal maintenance, one coat of Exterior Oil is generally sufficient.
Available colour tones: Ironbark, Western Red Cedar, Merbau, Jarrah, Blackbutt and Tasmanian Oak, plus Clear.
